Mark Buschmann

Mark Buschmann is a Partner in the Restructuring and Special Situations Group at PJT Partners, based in New York.

Previously, Mr. Buschmann was a Senior Managing Director in Blackstone’s Restructuring & Reorganization Group. He spent 14 years at Blackstone and has worked on a variety of restructuring and strategic advisory assignments across a broad range of industries. Examples of Mr. Buschmann’s public assignments include 21st Century Oncology, Arch Coal, Cable & Wireless America, Delta Air Lines, Los Angeles Dodgers, Patriot Coal Corporation, Targo Pharmaceuticals, TridentUSA, Ultra Petroleum and Westinghouse Electric Company. Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Buschmann worked in the Financial Institutions Group of Salomon Smith Barney, where he executed various mergers and acquisitions and financing assignments. He is a frequent panelist at conferences and schools on restructuring-related topics. Mr. Buschmann was awarded recognition in the Top 40 Under 40 dealmaker category by the M&A Advisor in 2013 and is a member of the International Insolvency Institute NextGen Leadership Program.

Mr. Buschmann received a BA in Economics and German Literature from Dartmouth College and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
