Matthew Parr is a Partner in the Strategic Advisory Group at PJT Partners, based in Chicago.
For over 28 years, Mr. Parr has advised a broad range of industrial companies in the Americas, Europe and Asia on their most important strategic initiatives. He has led advisory teams on public and private takeovers, cross-border mergers, corporate separations, takeover and activist defense, corporate restructuring, acquisition financing and IPOs. Prior to joining PJT Partners, Mr. Parr spent five years as a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, most recently as Co-Head of Midwest Investment Banking based in Chicago.
Prior to that, Mr. Parr spent eight years at UBS Investment Bank, most recently as Head of European Industrials and Co-Head of Global Automotive, based in London. He spent his first ten years in the industry at Credit Suisse in Chicago and New York.
Mr. Parr graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a BA in Economics. Mr. Parr is a Director of the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Youth Guidance and Chicago Children’s Choir, and a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.
