Mr. O’Connell is a Managing Director in the Restructuring & Special Situations Group, based in New York.
Since joining PJT Partners in 2016, he has advised companies, creditors and sponsors in restructurings, special situations, financings and mergers and acquisitions across numerous industries, including consumer and retail, financials, healthcare, industrials, power and energy, and telecom. Prior to PJT, Mr. O’Connell was an Associate in the Global Leveraged Finance group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, working on LBO, M&A and other financing transactions across a broad range of industries.Mr. O’Connell received an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where he was a Fink Fellow, and a BA, with honors, in economics and political science from the University of Connecticut.
