Jacques E. Brand

Jacques E. Brand is a Partner in the Strategic Advisory Group at PJT Partners, based in New York, and is a member of the Firm’s global management committee.

Prior to joining PJT Partners, Mr. Brand was CEO of Deutsche Bank in the Americas and a member of the Firm’s Group Executive Committee. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in 1999 from BT Alex. Brown, Mr. Brand also held significant leadership positions including Global Head of Investment Banking Coverage and M&A, and Chairman of the Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation.

Over the span of his over 37-year Wall Street career beginning at Lehman Brothers in the 1980s, Mr. Brand has extensive experience in advising a broad base of clients on transformational M&A and capital-raising transactions in a range of global sectors including real estate, hospitality and gaming, and financial institutions. Mr. Brand received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1990 and graduated magna cum laude from Boston University in 1982.

Mr. Brand is Chairman of the Board of the American Institute of Contemporary German Studies that is affiliated with John Hopkins University. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and is also on the Board of philanthropic organizations including The Jewish Museum in New York and The Cancer Advisory Council at Columbia University Medical Center.
