Peter Laurinaitis is a Partner in the Restructuring and Special Situations Group at PJT Partners, based in New York.

Previously, Mr. Laurinaitis worked for 13 years in Blackstone’s Restructuring & Reorganization Group as a Senior Managing Director. Mr. Laurinaitis has been involved in the restructuring of $50 billion in liabilities across a broad range of industries including energy, retail, forest products, manufacturing, telecom/media, financial institutions and governmental entities.

Examples of Mr. Laurinaitis’s public assignments include Dynegy Holdings, Energy XXI, Flying J Inc., Halcón Resources, Linn Energy, SemGroup, Vanguard Resources, Barneys New York, Pacific Lumber/Scotia Pacific, Net Serviços De Comunicação S.A., General Motors Corporation and State of Kansas. Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Laurinaitis was a Manager at Arthur Andersen LLP in its Corporate Restructuring Group.

Mr. Laurinaitis is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, inactive), Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP). He received a BS in Accounting from the University of Central Florida, an MSA in Accounting from the University of Central Florida and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
